My other car is a rickshaw
The rickshaw has a remarkable appearance in Bangladesh. The tens of thousands of bicycle taxis form an important means of transportation and offer a lot of families a basic income. However for the poorest amongst them the costs of the bike are too high. These people are delivered therefore to the most simple and poorly paid labour. In a worse case they resort to begging. To offer these people a chance, 1We - One World Experience has created a rickshaw project.
As an entrepreneur now you can help a starting entrepreneur in Bangladesh one on one by donating a rickshaw. With this you give a whole family the chance to build a future.
Make a donation
There are four possibilities to make a donation:
● For an amount of € 199 you donate a brand new rickshaw. After a period of 2 years half of this amount must be repaid with the rickshaw rider becoming the owner of the bicycle taxi. This amount will be re-invested into more rickshaws.
● For € 249 you donate a rickshaw and you give one child of the family the possibility to go to school for 1 year. After this period the rickshaw driver must pay the further costs of education.
● For € 50 you take care of the education for 1 year of an underprivileged child.
● You can also donate any other amount with which you participate in a rickshaw or education.
Your rickshaw will be painted in the purple/orange colours of 1We. Therewith we will be visible in the street scene and a unity will be created amongst the 1We rickshaw drivers as well.
Target
The target of the project ‘1We-Rickshaws Bangladesh’ is three fold:
● To create employment for the most futureless Bangladeshis.
● To offer extra facilities for the 1We-rickshaw drivers.
● To make possible education for one child of the family.
Donate with your company one or more rickshaws and make the difference! Not only for a family in Bangladesh but also for your own employees. By for example donating one bicycle taxi for each new lease car in your company you will create awareness amongst your employees and clients.
